As Canada moves through this crisis, conversations about the re-opening of businesses, workplaces, and other spaces are happening all over the country, with decisions being led by provincial and territorial governments. Employees, employers and businesses should refer to their respective provincial or territorial websites for up to date information and guidelines. Many resources are available online, a few examples for your reference:  

. The risk assessment tool for workplaces and businesses in the Canadian context is based on advice contained in the World Health Organization’s guidance and in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, and on public health assumptions that reflect the currently available scientific evidence and expert opinion. This resource provides epidemiology of COVID-19, risk mitigation strategies (including personal protective equipment) and a checklist that you can use to assess risk. (Government of Canada, 2020)  

This document outlines the best practices for construction sites in order to maintain the health and safety of all workers required to perform duties during the COVID-19 crisis. The protocols, which include prevention, detection and response measures, will minimize the impacts of the crisis and ensure business continuity in the construction industry. (Canadian Construction Association,2020).
