Do you want to be part of the conversation about the future of architecture? Submit your proposal for a continuing education session, architectural tour, or special event for the RAIC 2024 Conference on Architecture taking place in person in Vancouver, BC May 14th to May 17th, 2024.

Each year the Conference provides an opportunity to participate in high-quality learning opportunities with interactive content, innovative ideas, and engaging discussions, as well as unique social events, local architectural tours, and our annual Celebration of Excellence in architecture. Participants at all career levels will take away inspiration, insights, and ideas for practical application.

The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Nominate your colleagues and peers for Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship in the RAIC. The College of Fellows formally recognizes members and distinguished laypersons who have made outstanding contributions to the profession in design, scholarship, or service to the profession or the community.

Nominations for Fellowship 
 
A Fellow of the RAIC College is a Member of the RAIC who has achieved professional eminence or has rendered distinctive service to the profession or to the community at large. Nomination and advancement to Fellowship is administered by the RAIC College. A Member must have been a member of the RAIC for at least five (5) non-consecutive years in the last ten years from submission date prior to nomination. Fellowship is bestowed for life and is one of the highest honours the RAIC can confer upon a member.
 
Nominations for Honorary Fellowship 
 
An Honorary Fellow of the RAIC College is an Honorary Member of the RAIC who has achieved international professional eminence or has rendered distinctive service to the profession or to the community at large, nationally or internationally. Architects registered in Canada are not eligible for nomination. Nomination and advancement to Honorary Fellowship is administered by the RAIC College. Honorary Fellowship is bestowed for life and is one of the highest honours the RAIC can confer upon an individual. 
 
We invite all members of the RAIC to nominate an individual.

Members of the RAIC鈥檚 College from the Southwest Ontario region recently gathered at the Massey College for a fundraiser event that raised $20,000 for the . 

It was a wonderful, weather-perfect evening spent in the Massey College courtyard honouring the new Members of the College and Student medal winners and Scholarship recipients and reconnecting with colleagues. Sponsorship by 19 firms was key to the success of the event and we are very grateful for that support. A special thanks to:

Their generosity not only supported the event but permitted all of the honourees to attend the event free of charge. It also allowed 100% of the ticket sales to be donated to the RAIC Foundation. 
 
The final tally is in and the sponsorships funds, combined with all of the Members who were so giving when purchasing tickets, allowed us to make a鈥痙onation of鈥�$20,000 to the RAIC Foundation, which will be directed towards student scholarships and bursaries that support public awareness of architecture.  
 
Our volunteer Committee is heartened to see the combined power of comradery, celebration and charity within our relatively small group of SW Ontario Members of the College.
